Random

I'm finally back from an almost month long hiatus. So much crazy things has happened since the last time I wrote. It's still raining outside, I hope it's nothing as serious as Ondoy's rage. I've lived in the islands all my life but I've never seen as much water as I did during that time. Spent two days without electricity and almost a week without bath water. Ewww. I know, so lets not go there.

Every instance of rain fall was more like an air raid that kept me awake the entire time. Last entry was about us moving to the new house and just like everyone else we got a taste of flood, alright. I might've jinxed our first day by my incessant ranting but I don't think my keeping mum would've stopped it either. We weren't expecting water but it came, and it was gross. There was so much to clean and to get rid of after. But I'm just glad that my family and everyone else that I know and love are safe regardless. I could live with murky water but never with a loved one's loss.

It's just ironic that we get so much flood after the fire early this year. I have now proven that I am unbreakable. So if any other type of destructive element would come my way, I say bring it! :D

Bora week was supposed to be the weekend of Ondoy's wrath which we deliberately missed since we thought it wasn't worth gambling for. We knew there wouldn't have been any sun so we decided to ditch Boracay. So yeah, I'm still a Bora virgin. (I know! How much of a loser can I ever get?) Maybe next time. The Bora funds ended up liquidated the week after. Got ourselves a new TV and DVD player so it wasn't so bad after all--- never been a couch potato but I reckon it's much better than having pursued the Bora trip and being disappointed due to the bad weather--- and yes, I am saying this to console myself.

I made a visit to a cardiologist yesterday. I've been experiencing a lot of palpitation lately and it has been very uncomfortable. My ECG reading shows that my heart does beat faster than normal but it doesn't seem to be anything serious yet. They took blood samples from me to see if it was my thyroid that had a problem since my heart seems healthy. For the meantime the doctor has prescribed meds for my heartbeat to slow down but I still have to come back for my lab test results.

My vacay's less than two weeks away. I'm just glad that I'm finally getting some R&R. This year has been a tough one and I'm glad that there is something good to look forward to as it comes to a close. My trip may just be 3 weeks short but it's still me time.

My supposed halloween project is a major fail. I have scoured Divisoria for the right fabric but it was all in vain. I might do a repeat on last year's award- winning (OK, I'm exaggerating!) outfit or get myself a new one when I get there. We'll see. I'll try to keep everyone posted. :)

Darn! The weather in Boracay would have been perfect, but I guess you guys would not have been allowed to fly because the weather was really crazy that weekend. Oh my. I hope you and your family are okay now. Don't worry, Boracay will wait for you and when you get there, I'm sure you'll have a blast! Take care dear and be safe.Ü

Wow you're really indeed a strong woman! I hope that things are okay now and especially to those who were hit by the typhoon so hard.

I've been away from blogging for almost a month but I am back now

@ Sonia: Thanks, yes it has been hectic. Thanks for droppin' by! :D

@ Russ: I know, it sucks that I didn't get the chance to see Bora but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.

@ Ai: Onga, no more killer chicha.

@ Chase: Hehe, thanks. I guess everyone would rise to the occasion whenever trouble arises. If you think you've been slacking, well, I'm part of the blog slacking club. Good to hear that you're back! :D
